favorite past time

Emmett loves his big boy bed and spends a lot of time stripping naked and wrapping himself in soft blankets. He truly spends the majority of his days and nights in this way. He looks pretty content, so Wes and I encourage this activity and enjoy this much needed down time.

Emmettisms: Lately Emmett asks us OFTEN, "Hey, my daddy what you doing?" We think it's funny how he calls us MY daddy or My mommy.

>He used to say "Have some" when he wanted something we were eating but he has changed it lately to say "share with me" as he realized that we would say NO when he asked for our ice ceam after finishing his own, but we rarely say NO if he asks us to SHARE something as we emphasize sharing so much in his play. very clever.

-in fact, I returned home from a Dr. apt this week and Emmett hugged me and said, "mom are you thirsty?" I replied "No, thank you"

"wanna drink?" he asked again.

"No Emmett, but are YOU thirsty." I replied

"ok" as he ran to the fridge- he pointed to one of my special vitamin waters and said "share with me?"

"OH. I see, you wanted MY water -so you were asking me if I was thirsty so I might share with you."

"yeah!" "Can I have some?' - emmett asks and because of his sweet manipulations, succeded in getting some special water. - again very clever little 2 1/2 year old.

Frosty

We had a couple good snows while Kerri was here. We made a "frosty" but since the snow was not very sticky we made a melting frosty. More of a snow mound, I suppose.
